Ona is a social justice advocate, spoken word poet, artist, educator, and trained Restorative Justice Peace Circle Keeper. Their work explores the intersection between social identities, building solidarity between movements, & the personal as political. They are committed to addressing complex and community trauma through restorative justice and creative arts.
A multiethnic Chicago native, they joined Elephant Rebellion in 2014. Ona facilitates Internal Development for the Elephant Rebellion herd and is a co-organizer for Surviving the Mic, a spoken word organization that centers the voices of trauma survivors.
Ona enjoys photography, painting, ceramics, travel, and learning.
